About This Job:
Our Client is aleading food processingcompany in the region manufacturing a variety of products.
Main Tasks:
·Overall management of the Plant directorate, charged with ensuring optimal use of Machinery and Equipment investment to enhance shareholder value through capacity maximization and lean manufacturing initiatives.
·Advise the Managing Director on hiring, mentoring, training and development of departmental staff with the aim mentoring developing and promoting them to key positions in the future.
·Ensure that the key department targets or KPI?s are met to satisfy the employer and clients.
·Participate in designing the company’s strategic plan and implementation of the same to meet shareholder demands.
·Ensure that all plant operations here and are in compliance with the plant manuals (SOP, SSOP, FSMS Manual and HACCP).
·Ensure competitiveness of products through adherence to quality and compliance with the environmental and industrial regulations.
·Expected to maintain confidentiality and adherence to standards, procedures and rules set by the company.
·You will from time to time be asked to serve on certain board committees and or task teams for new projects or re-aligning of existing projects in the group.
·Any other duties that the MD senior management may direct you to do.
Key Qualifications/Experience
At least 5 years experience in management in a manufacturing plant preferably food processing.
A Relevant Masters degree or First Degree.
