Role overview

·The focus of this job is on improving the quality of literacy in the early primary school education system.

·That means you’ll run workshops for teachers, head teachers and Coordinating Centre tutors in teaching methodologies for early grade literacy and in development and use of reading materials for early grade teaching.

·You’ll support supervision exercises of head teachers and teachers including periodic lesson observations in the classroom at least once three times in a term.

·You’ll support capacity building in early grade reading teaching.

·You’ll participate in early grade reading training at national, Primary TC ad CC levels.

·You’ll participate in project monitoring, evaluation and advocacy

Skills, qualifications and experience required

·You have a bachelor in primary teaching or in early grade reading .

·You have at least 3 years experience in similar job.

·You have experience in training professionals and facilitating workshops.

·You have experience in developing reading and training materials for primary school children.
