Marie Stopes International is a global organisation providing personalised contraception and safe post-abortion care services to women and girls.
Since 2010, the USAID Long Term Methods (LTM) Program has been empowering Ugandan women and men to choose when they have children by voluntarily selecting a family planning method of their choice. The LTM Program expands affordable services and choice of the full range of contraceptive choice to rural and underserved communities through a dynamic mix of mobile clinical outreach and social franchising. In partnership with the Ministry of Health, the LTM Program supports the long term capacity of public and private sector providers to deliver high quality family planning counselling and services.
The LTM Program Chief of Party (COP) is based in Kampala, Uganda and is an employee of MSI Uganda. The COP reports to the Country Director of Uganda and on technical issues directly to MSI’s Director of the USAID team.
The COP is responsible for the succsessul delivery of the LTM Program and all USAID programming managed by MSI Uganda. Sharing and demonstrating Marie Stopes values of Work as one MSI, Show courage, authenticity and integrity, Develop and Grow, Deliver Excellence – always, and Leadership
You are responsible for ensuring all USAID supported activities fully meet MSI’s global standards for clinical service delivery, client care, and programmatic management. You will develop and lead the successful implementation plans that will deliver the high quality results expected of the program, on time and to budget. You will ensure full compliance with all USAID contractual, policy and legislative requirements across all program activities and reporting.
We see you having proven quality experience managing US government and other donor funded programming (health and family planning programming a distinct advantage). You’ll have knowledge and experience applying US government assistance regulations and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with U.S. Government and development partners.
The successful candidate will be pro choice.
This role requires USAID concurrence, which means that the recruitment will only move forward if we secure USAID funding.
