valuable client, a floricultural

organization that has diversified into propagation of chrysanthemum cuttings

while exporting to the Netherlands. NFT Human Resource Solutions are

customer tailored per industry requirements and are geared towards increased

cost savings, process improvement leading to improved efficiency and

effectiveness yet simultaneously strengthening quality and control of

resources.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Manages
  
  all aspects of an accounting function.


• Add
  
  to the Development of the accounting system for the management of assets,
  
  liabilities and transactions.


• The
  
  incumbent continuously follows up on the effectiveness and efficiency of
  
  accounting process flow.


• Evaluates
  
  the organization’s and industry’s practices on how capital assets are
  
  depreciated.


• Manages
  
  the process and data flow between accounting systems and sub-systems.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

• The
  
  ideal candidate should preferably hold a University graduate level in
  
  Accounting or finance


• Professional
  
  qualified in accounting profession with a recognized institute (ACCA, CPA,
  
  and CIMA.)


• Working
  
  knowledge of IFRS and Ugandan tax legislation.


• Computer
  
  literacy skills i.e. proficiency in spread sheets and accounting software.


• Three
  
  years’ working experience in a Finance related role.


• The
  
  Senior Accountant should demonstrate extensive experience in the
  
  Accounting competency.


• Past
  
  experience in the Accounting competency, one should demonstrate knowledge
  
  of accounting methods, processes, and tools


• Possess
  
  the ability to use these to maintain and prepare financial statements and
  
  reports.


• Fluency
  
  in spoken/written English.


• High
  
  integrity and strong character.


• Team
  
  player with good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Problem
  
  solver with strong analytical and numeracy skills.


• Proactive
  
  self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.


• Working
  
  knowledge of leasing is an added advantage.
