Reports

The Government of The Republic of Uganda
has received funds from Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA),
Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), OPEC Fund for International Development
(OFID) and the Government of Uganda for rehabilitation and expansion of Kayunga
and Yumbe Hospitals. The project objective is to deliver the Uganda National
Minimum Health Care Package (UNMHCP), through improvement of Health
Infrastructure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The
Secretary cordially answers telephones and gives information to callers,
take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. - The
incumbent will be in charge of organizing project workshops and meetings. - Schedules
and confirm appointments for clients and supervisors. - Sets
up and maintains paper and electronic filing systems for
records,-correspondence, and other material. - The
incumbent also takes dictation in shorthand and transcribes information. - In
charge of recording, routing and filing correspondences. - Coordinates
conferences and meetings. - The
Secretary operates electronic mail systems and coordinates the flow of information
both internally and to other organizations - Responsible
for ordering and distributing office supplies. - Operates
office equipment such as computers, fax machines, photocopiers, and
telephone systems - Performs
any other duties as assigned by the Project Administrator.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicants for the Secretary vacancy should hold an Advanced Level
certificate of Education. Also, candidates must hold a Diploma in
Secretarial Studies from a recognized Institution. - Highly
computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet - Applicants
should have a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. - The
ideal candidates must have good customer care and public relations skills.
