Job Summary: The Branch
Manager will manage the sales, service, people, operations and business
development within the branch, including profits and staff productivity of the
Branch.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Steer a service culture within the Branch and
adherence to the Service standards
·
Routinely monitor customer complaints, identify
trends and root causes and address them at the branch to prevent recurrence
·
Grow the balance sheet (assets and liabilities) as
per set targets
·
Drive a sales culture within the branch for all
staff by allocating individual sales/campaign targets for the year
·
Interpret branch financials and update the team on
the Branch’s performance on a monthly basis
·
Manage Branch costs with emphasis on containment of
controllable costs such as overtime,
petty cash, power, telephone, travel, repair and maintenance costs in
accordance with set budgets
·
Agree performance contracts for direct reports and provide monthly performance feedback in
order to maintain performance at required levels
·
Manage succession planning and identify key talent
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related field from a recognized
university
·
At least three years’ experience in managerial or
supervisory position
·
Comprehensive knowledge of service, sales techniques
and branch operations
·
Detailed working knowledge of the retail banking
value propositions
·
Working knowledge of the banks policies and
procedures
·
Knowledge of managing local market sales principles
·
Working knowledge of Code of Banking Practise
·
Leadership skills
·
Excellent selling skills
·
Excellent interpersonal skills
·
Good communication skills
