Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the realization of business opportunities for the FMCG company. The jobholder will be responsible for the preparation of business and strategic plans for the opportunities identified in order to obtain approval to invest.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of driving business growth through identification and development of new undiscovered market segments
Identifying reliable and financially strong local channel partners from allied businesses, for sustainable long-term market expansion and revenue growth
Developing sales objectives for all product lines including sales volumes and profit forecasts.
The incumbent will also manage key financial metrics on various costs as a percentage of Sales
Conceptualizing and executing strategies for sales by analyzing market & competitor trends to achieve sales target for business development
Work closely with subordinates to generate new leads via vendors and distribution houses, understand competitors, End to End’s market position, and identify event opportunities;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a Degree preferably in Marketing from a reputed institute.
A minimum of five years’ experience in the Sales function, preferably in FMCG industry and maintaining large / key account relationships.
Good leadership skills with proven track record of organizational success.
Proficiency in computer application systems.
Strong mentoring skills with proven record of staff development and continuous improvement.
Exceptional track record of developing and implementing sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership through example.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, functional Expertise in Sales, Business Development and Client Servicing.
