Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda’s leading

manufacturer of quality clay baked construction products since 1950 and is

listed on Uganda’s Securities Exchange. The head offices are located at 14Km on

Entebbe Road, with a second factory situated at Kamonkoli in Eastern Uganda.


Job Summary: The Information & Communication

Technology Assistant will provide technical, operational and procedural support

and end user services in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of

information technology systems, procedures and activities of the office, in

accordance with the ICT work plan.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The

incumbent will oversee and manage Uganda Clays ICT equipment inventory ensuring

that hardware is fully operational and secure at all times.


·        
Actively

contribute towards the effective operation of Uganda Clays data management

systems and servers.


·        
Provide

professional ICT support to users, aiming to maximize their capacity to use ICT

in support of their work.


·        
Work

in compliance with Uganda Clay’s Quality and Safety procedures at all times


·        
Perform

any other duties as assigned by the Information, Communication & Technology

Officer.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The Information

& Communication Technology Assistant should preferably hold a diploma in

Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Business Computing (BC) or

Information systems.


·        
Professional

qualifications in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified

Professional (MCP).


·        
A

minimum of two years’ experience in information technology gained from a

reputable organisation.


·        
Working

knowledge in computer networking skills.


·        
Familiarity

with computer systems including both software and hardware


·        
Good

knowledge in programming languages.
