Job
Summary: The Officer Communications will support the delivery of the
organization’s internal communication strategy. The incumbent will enable the departments
of the organization to deliver key communication to staff, customers and other
stakeholders in a planned way. The incumbent will also be expected to take lead
responsibility for the planning and implementation of range of events and
conferences.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Ensure that communication messages and initiatives
will be driven through Communication and Marketing programs and campaigns internally
and externally.
·
In charge of ensuring that all business messages
are conveyed in the best possible manner to the intended target audiences.
·
Conceptualize all events that may emanate out of
the communications strategy and work to actualize them with support from the
events coordinator.
·
Publish internal newsletters and evaluate their
strength as a channel for conveying general information
·
Distribute advance notices to ensure employees
feel included in the development of the business
·

Inform the team and other specific departments of
relevant current affairs such as other bank
product/service launches
·
Support different units in the development and
implementation of projects that are aimed at internalizing the organizational
values and vision among employees.
·
Create and implement corporate sponsorship,
contributions programs, exhibitions and conferences that fit within the defined
target groups
·
Stay abreast with all business developments within
the business unit of support and all organizational changes that may impact on
the organization negatively or positively
·
Build and strengthen relationships with various
internal clients and other stakeholders at varying levels across the Group in
order implement online opportunities to help meet their business objectives.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant should preferably hold a Degree in
Communications and/or Public Relations and/or Marketing.
·
A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a
public relations, communications role and /or media/business to business
marketing role.
·
Broad knowledge and understanding of the financial
services industry
·
Marketing and communications
·
Interactive marketing
·
Experience in working with multi-national
organizations.
·
Considerable business acumen and financial
management exposure
·
Excellent customer delivery orientation
·
Dexterity in managing teams and working with
multiple stakeholders
