Reproductive Health Uganda (RHU) is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and its core mandate is to promote high quality, high-impact and gender sensitive Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights information and services through capacity building, specialized service delivery, issue specific advocacy and strategic partnerships.
Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will be tasked with strengthening RHU’s Monitoring and Evaluation system to address the evolving needs of the Association.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Actively monitor and evaluate the implementation of RHU Programs and Projects
· Consolidate and analyze Association service statistics and advise management about adherence to programme focus vis a vis Strategic Plan
· Package RHU programme out-puts and periodically share them with management and stakeholders
· Mentor and train staff in the use of M&E, and on different Research methods
· Facilitate data management of the Association, including production of reports
· Take lead in strengthening the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation system that stimulates greater learning and measurement of progress
· Oversee the production, dissemination and utilization of evidence-based research and subsequent results
· Take part in Association annual programme planning and budgeting
· Significantly contribute to research planning and budgeting process, including developing of concept papers and proposals
· Participate in resource mobilization initiatives of the Association
· Perform any other professional duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· All applicants should preferably hold a Master’s degree in Statistics or Computer Science.
· A minimum of three years’ experience in social research, data base design and maintenance
· Prior experience in qualitative as well as quantitative data analysis and dissemination.
· Familiarity with Computer packages such as SPSS, Epi-info, Stata, SAS etc
· Individuals with previous NGO experience will have added advantage.
· Extensive working knowledge and skills in, monitoring, evaluation and research.
· Proven knowledge and experience in quantitative and qualitative M/E and research methods especially in Reproductive Health;
· Demonstrated ability to write concise reports and submit them within set deadlines;
· Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, and to conceptualize, develop, and implement performance based improvement strategies.
· Training skills and ability to generate and maintain accurate records.
