Bringing Being
Into Business (BBB) is a Management Consulting, Training and Event management
organization. We deliver team building retreats, conferences and have a range
of training modules. We specialize in strategic planning, resource
mobilisation, change management, HR consulting, project management,
organizational strengthening and performance management. Some of us our clients
include MTN, Belgium Technical Cooperation, Knight Frank, Grant Thornton,
USAID, Uganda Aids Commission, International Medical Group, Vodafone and the
Britannia Group. BBB specializes in enhancing the performance and productivity
of client’s work force and empowering organizations’ to deliver real change.
They would like to recruit for a valuable client, a well-established
manufacturing company situated in Uganda, Kampala.
Job Summary: The Economist / Analyst will be tasked with explaining
research methodology and justifying conclusions drawn from research data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Interpreting of economic trends for the business and
the market using various econometric modeling techniques
·
Responsible for making recommendations of ways to improve
manufacturing efficiency
·
In charge of explaining research methodology and
justifying conclusions drawn from research data
·
Using of various sampling techniques that may be
used to conduct different types of surveys
·
In charge of collecting information by studying
production data and statistics to uncover trends
·
Evaluating past and present economic issues and
trends
·
Keeping good relationships with the ministry of
finance, UMA and other statutory bodies
·
Lobbying Advocacy and relationship management with
ministry of trade, ministry of finance, private sector foundation
·
Responsible for stake holder management
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a relevant
degree qualification in Data analysis, Statistics, Economics, from a well-known
institute
·
At least five years of relevant experience
·
Excellent communication and good relations.
·
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·
Broad working knowledge of the Ugandan market and
proven work experience in cultural context of East Africa
·
Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in MS Power point
and Word, internet and email
