Job Summary: The Officer

Support, PMO will support the Bank in the coordination and provision of comprehensive

administrative support to Head Projects management Office and senior management

team in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. The incumbent will

also provide support in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the

country’s PMO network and identification of proactive opportunities for

improvement.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
Consolidating and collating the weekly and monthly

Status updates from the various Project Managers for distribution to Business

Unit Heads


·        
Preparation and submission of monthly project

updates for Country and Business Support Executive Committees.


·        
In charge of monitoring and providing up to date

information of project related bank visitors to Uganda.


·        
Preparing and distributing the monthly Change Co

pack.


·        
The incumbent will also oversee the registration of

projects and coordinate all the related activities to with collection and

filing of the required documentation.


·        
Reporting on Project status along other activities

within the unit.


·        
Provide end-to-end project management support to the

Business Analysts and Project Managers.


·        
Work in liaison with all members of the project team

to ensure successful project 

implementation.


·        
Keep track of all PMO activities, and ensure that

constant remind sent out to all different stakeholders on the on-going.


·        
Make arrangements for departmental meetings, presentations,

seminars and  trainings being organized.


·        
Develop a plan for the maintenance of the PMO

documents by taking records of all project documents for safe custody and

ensuring that they are readily 

accessible to only authorized staff.     


·        
Accurately document all relevant business,

functional and non-functional requirements in the appropriate templates in line

with agreed quality standards. (I.e. Business Requirements Definitions,

Functional System Specifications).


·        
In charge of the control of and provision of

material required to facilitate meetings; e.g. 

projectors, flip charts etc.


·        
Manage resource capacity within the unit.


·        
Coordinate resource availability and management of

test cycles.


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Officer

Support, PMO vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree


·        
Possession of a Post Graduate studies in Project

management is desirable


·        
At least a year to two years’ general banking

experience desirable.


·        
A minimum of two years’ experience in business

support administration


·        
Experience in business project management


·        
Exposure to leadership or management of teams

experience


·        
Computer literate in MS Office Suite, MS Projects

and MS Visio


·        
Business and IT Projects Management desirable


·        
Previous experience in banking desirable


·        
General understanding of nature, culture, operations

and tactical priorities of project management office


·        
Broad knowledge of bank strategies and tactical

plans


·        
A sound business/industry understanding of financial

services.


·        
Finance and Accounting knowledge


·        
Familiarity with Use of Electronic presentation

tools in preparation of communication documentation, Business case

documentation


·        
Benefits planning documentation analysis and

tracking


·        
Process Modelling Tools e.g. Microsoft Visio, ARIS

or Vision
