ZOA is an

International Non-Governmental Organisation working in Uganda since 1998. Its

mission is to assist in rebuilding the livelihoods of peoples who are affected

by human conflict or natural disaster. We operate in 15 countries in Africa and

Asia. Our community based programme in Uganda concentrates on Food Security,

Livelihoods/Economic Development, Water Sanitation and Hygiene. Vocational

Training, Education and Peace Building and is implemented in close cooperation

with local organizations and local government.


In 2015, ZOA

started implementing a multi-year Land Security and Economic Development

Project in Nwoya District; this is intended to be the first of several projects

ZOA shall deliver in the other geographic areas it is operating in including

West Nile and Karamoja sub regions.


Job Summary: The Parish

Facilitator will support the Land Security Economic Development (LSED) project

by conducting community sensitization and education on customary tenure. 
The incumbent will

work closely with the different actors in facilitating customary tenure

registration, through the process of systematic, adjudication, demarcation and

registration of Land rights. He will conduct land surveying and provide technical

support to the Area Land Committees.



Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The Parish Facilitator must hold a Diploma in Land

Management and Land economics, Geometries, Surveying and Physical Planning.


·        
Working knowledge of GIS is an added advantage.


·        
Ability to connect well with the community.


·        
Excellent communication and presentation skills.


·        
Skills, ability and willingness to ride a

motorcycle.


·        
Good knowledge of the local language. (LUO)


·        
Willingness to be based in Nwoya district at the

Parish.
