Uganda: Deputy Chief of Party
We are hiring for a Deputy Chief of Party to be based in Uganda. The The DCoP will be responsible for the overall coordination of all health systems strengthening related project activities in MCs effort to strengthen the capacity of Ugandan institutions and communities to deliver quality, integrated health services. S/he will ensure compliance with all donor regulations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Master‘s degree and five years of relevant experience post degree, including four years of relevant experience in developing countries
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in managing administrative functions
- Extensive management expertise, interpersonal skills, and professional relationships to fulfill the projects outlined health systems strengthening activities and goals
- Minimum of eight years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility in designing, managing, and implementing complex, large scale public health programs and experience in leading a highly successful health systems strengthening program in Uganda or in a similar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of USAID regulations, systems and procedures for managing complex grant programmes with multiple partners
- Proven leadership skills and team leading
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; strong communication skills
- Strong people management skills with the ability to provide guidance and support
- Proven strong organisational skills and strong track record in meeting deliverables and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience preparing comprehensive progress reports on complex programmes
