Outsourcing. They would like to recruit for a valuable client, an IT firm.


Job Summary:  The Head, Finance will take charge of the IT Company’s

finance function. The job holder will also proactively contribute to the

management of the business as a key member of the management team. He / she

will serve as a business Partner to the MD/CEO, providing exceptional

commercial and financial support. The Finance Head is a a key management member

of the Group Finance Team, work closely with the Group CFO to continue the

transformation and development of Finance Function.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  


1.

Operational Responsibilities:


·        
Ensure financial control and governance


·        
Responsible for all financial planning and reporting


·        
Decision support


·        
In charge of pricing


·        
All heads of tax


·        
Key member of the business management team


·        
Manage all treasury activities


·        
Ensure timely internal and external reporting


·        
Presentation of results & other financial

materials to the Management & the Board.


·        
Responsible for business partnering


·        
Working closely with customers and suppliers

Performance Management Responsibilities


·        
Leadership and development of the Finance Team


·        
Ownership of personal development plan.


·        
Delivering of all Balance Scorecard objectives


3.

Strategic Responsibilities:


·        
Supporting the MD/CEO in developing and delivering a

new 3 to 5 year strategic plan.


·        
Roll out of Group Finance Transformation program


·        
Preparation and presentation of medium and long term

financial planning


·        
Developing and driving process improvement

initiatives


Key Performance Indicators:


·        
Timely & accurate delivery of all reporting

(both internal & external)


·        
Delivery of budgeted EBITDA, PBT and cashflow


·        
Ensuring no unapproved overspends on opex and capex

budgets


·        
Delivery of agreed Finance KPI’s including (DSO,

balance sheet reconciliations completion, timely payment of creditors, meeting

reporting timelines)


·        
Timely preparation of a robust annual budget


·        
Delivery of process improvement initiatives


·        
Internal customer satisfaction survey


·        
Achieving agreed personal development objectives


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  


·        
The ideal candidate must hold a University

Degree.  Possession of a Masters will be

added advantage


·        
Be a Qualified Accountant. Member ACCA or CPA Uganda


·        
At least six years of post-qualification experience

in an accounting role with at least 2 years in a Managerial position in a

reputable organization.
