Services including Assurance and Business Advisory Services, Business Planning,

Feasibility studies & Project Proposal Preparation, Human Resource, Risk

Management and Information System Solutions. We have operations in Uganda,

Rwanda and Dubai. We are recruiting for our client, a Non-Governmental

Organization (NGO) specializing in Developing Young Leaders and

Entrepreneurship in Africa with offices in Uganda and USA.


Job Summary: The Finance Coordinator (Accounts Receivable) will

be mainly responsible for four main objectives: Accounts Receivables, Quick

Books Posting, Bank Reconciliations and Record Keeping.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare and manage distribution of school

    invoices to respective Community Units;

  • The incumbent will also reconcile the

    accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for

    and properly posted;

  • Reconcile payment documents from the field

    (i.e. receipts and bank slips) with monthly bank statements;

  • Prepare and submit monthly School Payment Reports;

  • Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to

    our client by tracking balances carried forward from schools and informing

    POs accordingly;

  • Invoice and manage the payments from YET and

    issue receipts accordingly;

  • Manage staff AR accounts in QuickBooks,

    through reviewing accountabilities, reviewing reconciliations and providing

    status reports to staff;

  • Prepare journal vouchers;

  • Enter all journal entries into the accounting

    software;

  • Produce daily transaction posting report;

  • Reconcile the two bank accounts (UGX and $)

    on a weekly basis;

  • Reconcile Beyonic ledger and Beyonic online

    statements on a weekly basis;

  • File all finance records according to our

    client’s policies and procedures;


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold a

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business administration.

  • At least a year or two years’ experience

    working in Accounts.

  • Demonstrated ability to calculate, post and

    manage accounting figures and financial records.

  • Data entry skills along with a knack for

    numbers.

  • Practical experience in operating

    spreadsheets and accounting software (Quick Books).

  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office.

  • Customer service orientation and negotiation

    skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to

    detail.
