AIDS

Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is an international not for profit NGO, with its

Headquarters based in Los Angeles, California. Aids Health Care Foundation is

registered in Uganda as Aids Health Care Foundation – Uganda Cares (AHF-UC)

which is qoliaboration between the Uganda Ministry of Health and AIDS

Healthcare Foundation (U.S.A) to provide free HIV/AIDS services; including

antiretroviral therapy in resource constrained settings. AHF-

Uganda Cares to date operates in 15 districts including; Masaka, Kampala,

Rakai, Mpigi, Lyantonde, Soroti, Lwengo, Bukomansimbi, Kalungu, Kalangala,

Masindi, Amuria, Butambala, Gomba, Serere, Hoima and Tororo supporting 32

clinic sites country wide.



Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The Grants & Partner Support Manager will

    provide management and pro-active monitoring of all grants and advances to

    ensure compliance with AHF/ Donor requirements.

  • The incumbent will ensure compliance on

    AHF/donor guidelines, procedures and contractual obligations, particularly

    on reporting, procurement, matching funds and visibility requirements;

    communicate to staff any donor regulations impacting their work, and

    programmatic reporting requirements.

  • Carry out partner assessment, review funding

    applications, partner systems to ensure effective internal controls, good

    governance, proper accountability and transparency.

  • Actively participate in program planning and

    support of all sites & partners to develop realistic work

    plans/budgets.

  • Regularly review sites/partner fund requests

    and ensure timely transfer of funds

  • Prepare accurate reports pertaining

    performance of sites and partners that will inform management decision

    making       

  • Keenly review financial reports from

    sites/partners and ensure timely submission to the Accounting Firm.

  • Carry out monthly reconciliation of

    partner/site advances, identify gaps & provide formal feedback to

    partners & staff regarding the financial performance.

  • Design and use grant tracking/monitoring

    system to monitor partner/site expenditures for assigned activities, alert

    management on irregularities with recommendations for management action.

  • Ensure implementation of relevant Audit/Donor

    recommendations from Audits or evaluations or monitoring visits, in

    collaboration with senior management team.

  • Carry out the regular review of SEEP requests

    and Reports i.e. loan disbursement/repayments and provide support to

    clusters in basic financial management skills.

  • Review           

    monthly Stock report (Hard & Software reports) and report to

    management in case of any discrepancy. Ensure regular update of the Fixed

    Asset Register and participate in midyear/annual stock counts, asset

    verification & spot checks

  • Monthly review of vehicle logbooks/ fuel

    consumption and inform management of any discrepancy.

  • Ensure adequate segregation of duties as per

    AHF Global policy/Manual.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the AIDS Healthcare

    Foundation (AHF) Grants & Partner Support Manager career vacancy

    should hold a University degree in Accounting/Business related and a full

    professional course either ACCA, CPA, CA

  • Additional training in Grants management or

    Project planning & management or any relevant course is an added

    advantage.

  • Basic knowledge in micro-finance operations.

  • At least four years’ experience with an

    International NGO, Developmental Agency or Audit Firm in a similar

    capacity.

  • Professional computer skills, including MS

    Word, Excel, Internet, and Email

  • Experience and knowledge in usage of any

    Accounting software.

  • Proven ability to read, analyze and interpret

    financial documents. Capability of report writing, prompt and effective

    communication in English are ideal.
