Job Summary: The LTE IP/EPC Core Engineer will be responsible

for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive

maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one

offered by the 1st Level Operations. The incumbent will  ensure that the services provided to customers

are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA)

performance levels.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide second level assurance support

    activities

  • Provide second level incident management

  • Responsible for problem management

  • In charge of system administration

  • Customer interfacing


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate should preferably have

    three years’ experience in LTE or similar network technologies

  • 4G LTE Core Nodes experience (or 3G Packet Core

    Networks)

  • Strong in EPG and MME network architecture

  • Strong in Cisco Router/Switches support

  • Knowledge of 3GPP based architecture and call

    flows, 3GPP/IETF standards, UEs and tools used in the implementation and

    operation of SGSN and MME network elements.

  • Specific experience developing and executing

    test object lists for testing of core elements using real UEs and protocol

    analyzers.

  • Working knowledge of protocols (IP, TCP, UDP,

    SCTP, S1AP, Diameter, GTP, M3UA, SCCP, RANAP, GMM, SM) and high level understanding

    of OSPF, MPLS, VRRP, SSH, SNMP, and L2 VLAN).

  • Specific experience testing network functions

    to include paging, intra and inter technology mobility, session

    management, and QOS.

  • Practical experience in integrating network

    hardware platforms including SGSN and MME elements.

  • Broad working knowledge of DNS, IP

    addressing, NAT, load distribution

  • Good problem solving and trouble shooting

    skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Social skills and awareness
