Job Summary: The LTE RAN Engineer will be in charge of the coordination,

management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that

require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level

Operations. The incumbent will ensure that the services provided to customers

are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA)

performance levels.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The RAN engineer is also responsible for

    securing the operations activities are performed according to the

    following points.

  • In charge of alarm troubleshooting and corrective

    action for LRAN & Microwave Network from OMC.

  • Support as per Alarm severity in both LRAN

    & Microwave Backbone Network.

  • End to End Operational & Maintenance

    support for LRAN & Microwave Network.

  • Quality Network Optimization, trouble

    shooting and fixing the worst Key Performing Indicators.

  • End subscriber issues attended as per request

    from Customer Local Organization on severity basis.

  • Daily, Weekly & Monthly report

    preparation for network elements.

  • Perform preventive & corrective

    maintenance, work-orders execution, incident & problem management

    support activities.

  • Logging the performed activities in

    specifically ticketing tools.

  • Attending to Critical Network Customer

    Complaints and resolving them within the agreed periods.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate should have three to five

    years’ experience in RAN or related networks

  • Broad working knowledge of LTE architectures

    & network topologies & standards

  • Hands on working experience on ALU NPO,SAM ,WPS

    tools.

  • Proven experience in remote or site

    operations (design, planning, optimization, integration, acceptance,

    commissioning, testing, support) of related nodes Knowledge of access

    medium technologies

  • Previous exposure and experience of multi-vendor

    products: ALU (must), Ericsson

  • Broad working knowledge of data networking

    technologies is a plus

  • Broad knowledge of transport architectures

    & network topologies is a plus

  • Knowledge of UNIX or LINUX operating systems

    is a plus

  • Communication with contractors/partners/customers

    as well as with various internal units and stakeholders

  • Availability for on-call work schedule, night

    work

  • Availability for participation in abroad

    projects

  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Social skills and awareness
