African
Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-governmental,
non-political, non-religious and non-profit making organization with the main
aim of protecting and seeking durable solutions for Refugees and IDPs in Africa
in partnership with UNHCR the UN refugee agency.
Job Summary: The Assistant Mechanical Engineer will be
responsible for all maintenance works
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all machines are operational at
all times - Reporting any failed equipment to the
Mechanical Engineer. - Perform any other duties assigned by the Mechanical
Engineer or his designate.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Diploma
or certificate in Mechanical Engineering - A minimum of two years’ working experience
- High level of honesty
- Team work spirit
- Proven ability to work under pressure with
minimum supervision - Demonstrated ability to work in any part of
the country. - He applicant should be ready to have frequent
field visits. - Highly self-motivated
