Dfcu bank is a

fast growing commercial bank offering a variety of innovative products and

services. DFCU Limited was started by the Commonwealth Development Corporation

(CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of Uganda through the Uganda

Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of Development Finance Company of

Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in DEG (of Germany) and

International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners with CDC and UDC,

each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to support long-term

development projects whose financing needs and risk did not appeal to the then

existing financial commercial lending institutions.


Job Summary: The Team Leader

– Direct Sales Representative will plan, develop and execute the annual

Consumer Banking (Retail) targets through direct sales and management of direct

sales representative team.


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 


·        
The incumbent will grow retail customer numbers and

deposits as well as report on competitive activity.


·        
Guide and provide sales support to the Direct Sales

Team.


·        
Conduct training on Bank products and Sales.


·        
Plan, coordinate and prioritize Direct Sales

activities to achieve agreed business aims, including costs, sales, time

management and productivity.


·        
Maintain and develop existing/new customers through

appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison.


·        
Plan, carry out, support sales activations within

agreed budgets and time scales as well as integrate personal sales efforts with

other organized marketing activities.


·        
Quickly respond to and follow up sales enquiries

using appropriate methods.


·        
Make presentations at external and internal customer

meetings.


·        
Maintain and develop a customer /prospect database.


·        
Maintain and develop existing/new customers through

planned individual account support.


·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager

Retail Sales


Qualifications, Skills and

Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a University

degree


·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in a Sales

related role


·        
Ability to develop and execute a Sales plan


·        
Proven sales management skills, preferably in both

Business to Consumer and Business to business settings.


·        
Be a fast learner, self-driven, ambitious and hands

on


·        
Excellent analytical skills.


·        
Computer literacy skills i.e. competence in Word,

Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications


·        
Self-driven, results oriented with a positive

outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.


·        
Strong team player with good supervisory skills.


·        
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation

skills.
