Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Regularly visit major supplier sites and review progress of production of materials;
· In charge of the review performance of suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis, particularly at project completion;
· Ensure suppliers comply with manufacturers data report process compliance;
· Actively monitor suppliers’ quality assurance performance;
· Inspect materials and equipment in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications of purchase orders and contracts;
· Work closely with internal staff to seek clarification on technical specifications and inspection requirements as necessary;
· Ensure all vendor quality commitments are met;
· Certify final inspection release certification in accordance with projects requirements is provided to the contractor/vendor prior to release of goods from the care of the contractor/vendor;
· Send reports showing progressive and final packing configurations of all consignments prior to shipment;
· Document the movement of materials from Company yard to various subcontractors upon delivery to site and client handover;
· Sourcing suppliers taking into account costs & availability;
· Administering contractual aspects of supply contracts;
· Providing the Senior / Project Managers & other stakeholders with reports on supplier performance &assisting in the resolution of supplier disputes;
· Ensuring logistic & transportation support of materials & services;
· Ensuring that all commercial requirements of the supply contracts are satisfied;
· Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes;
· Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested; and
· Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate should preferably hold tertiary qualifications in supply management
· Possession of Purchasing / Supply experience in the engineering and construction industry
