Performance Group is an HR Consultancy and Recruitment firm that is recruiting

for its valuable client, a not-for-profit child health and development

organisation providing child-focused and family-centered HIV/AIDS prevention,

care and treatment services, health professional training and clinical research

in Uganda.


Job

Summary:
The Director Medical Services and Psychosocial Programs will be in

charge of initiating, developing and monitoring the implementation of systems,

policies and procedures of Medical and Psychosocial programs in line with the

organization’s mission and National AIDs control program objectives.


Key

Duties and Responsibilities:  


·        
Initiate, develop and monitor implementation of

Medical and Psychosocial policies, strategies, guidelines, and data tool for

the Directorate Medical & Psychosocial Programmes in line with the

organization 5-year strategic plan and National Paediatric and Adolescent HIV

policies and strategy plan.


·        
Develop and monitor the implementation of annual

plan for Directorate Medical and Psychosocial Programmes and manage the budget

and as well as monitor the integration of organization activities into the

various regional plans & budgets in line with organizational mission and

financial guidelines


·        
The incumbent will also develop and monitor the

implementation of ‘3 or 5 years operation strategy’ for the directorate of

Medical and Psychosocial based on holistic strategic thinking through developed

and implementation of periodic Directorate BSCs and PMP for various programs

for program sustainability/continuity then periodically report on the

Directorate performance in line with the organization strategic plan and

National AIDs control program objectives


·        
Periodically monitor the harmonization, and

alignment of periodic operational program plans, program M & E framework to

the National Strategic Plan’s planned priorities for HIV/AIDS prevention and

National HIV Prevention Strategy then continuously monitor implementation of

agreed upon action areas for HIV prevention services.


·        
Initiate, develop and monitor implementation of

the organization Paediatric and Adolescent HIV care & treatment program in

consideration adolescent transitional aspects to adulthood in alignment to new

/updated guidelines for National Paediatric and Adolescent HIV policies and

strategy plan.


·        
Initiative, develop and monitor implementation of

strategies for phasing in, reprogramming as per drastic changes and phasing out

of a given program/project then continuously track periodic program performance

and periodic program reporting while utilizing data from external reviewers and

internally from audit findings, periodic QI and M&E Program/project reports


·        
Prepare medical and psychosocial related fundable

grant proposals in collaboration with other members of the Organization

(Grants/ research team) and support sub¬grant monitoring in line with the

Organization’s Mission


Qualifications,

Skills and Experience: 


·        
The ideal candidate should hold a medical-related

master’s degree but not pediatrics


·        
Background of project planning and management.          


·        
A minimum of seven years working experience as

medical personnel, with four (4) years program of experience at managerial

level, in a reputable HIV oriented Non-Governmental Organization.


·        
Working knowledge of project planning and

management principles, donor guidelines, coupled with Strong understanding of

HIV interventions, writing of fundable proposals.


·        
Good team and communication skills


·        
Excellent networking and partnership skills.


·        
Must be dynamic, Persuasive and convincing


·        
Highly self- motivated and able to demonstrate

high initiative.


·        
She/he must have published some papers in regard

to policy development or organization development/improvement


·        
Age: Between

35-45 years.
