Job Summary: The Internal Auditor will be in charge of reviewing the financial and operational internal controls and make recommendations to address any loopholes, review management accounts and year-end financial statements and carry’ out risk assessment of the business activities of Monitor Publications Limited (MPL).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the planning of audit assignments i.e. information gathering, risk analysis, internal controls review, determining scope and objectives, audit strategy and approach.
· Perform special audits and investigations.
· Conduct financial, operational, administrative and information system audits.
· Regularly review management accounts and generate regular exceptional analysis reports.
· In charge of the review efficiency in use of company resources.
· In charge of the preparation and submission of assignment reports and regular follow up on recommendations.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from a recognized institution. Possession of a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
· CPAU or holder of equivalent qualification
· CISA and/or CIA qualification is desirable
· At least three to five years’ experience in a reputable organization or audit firm
· Working knowledge in the use of electronic audit file management system and CAATs (Computer Aided Audit Techniques) will be an added advantage
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
