child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty. Plan’s vision is of

respect people’s rights and dignity. Plan International is independent, with no
religious, political or governmental affiliations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will develop monthly tracking
tool to facilitate tracking of BMZ compliance in respect to budget
utilisation; - Develop an expenditure review analysis
summary report highlighting the suggested recommendations based on identified
gaps; - The incumbent will reconcile the finance and
grants modules and ensure that all Project Outlines are linked to the
grant.
- Carry out 100% expenditure verification of
Plan activities and reconcile with the respective reports; - On a monthly basis, record all plan
transactions that are above 5,000 euros to inform interim and annual
reporting to GNO; - Prepare and submit quarterly financial
reports with budget vs actual analysis; - Scan all invoices and payment vouchers for
each reporting period; - Develop asset schedule for purchases of above
5,000 euros to inform financial reporting; - Prepare payment vouchers.
3. Compliance Management:
Develop a customised compliance tool kit with all key compliance issues
regarding the BMZ Project.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Plan
International Project Accountant vacancy should hold a Degree in Finance
and Accounting, or Business Administration, or Accounting or other related
discipline - Professional Accounting certifications i.e. Level
II CPA or CPA - A minimum of two years’ experience in Finance
and accounting position with INGO. - Excellent accounting skills
- Working knowledge of computer accounting
packages, such as; Pastel, Quickbooks, SAGE & SAP - Excellent knowledge on financial reporting
- Keen attention to detail and dead-line
oriented. - Good problem solving skills
- Good team player
- Communicates effectively, orally and in
writing
