Reports to: Administrative Assistant


The

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by an Act of Parliament;

The Uganda National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became operational on

1st July 2008.  The mandate of UNRA is to

develop and maintain the national roads network, advise Government on general

roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport concerns, among others.


Job Summary: The Office Assistant will be responsible for

providing office support services


including

photocopying, preparing beverages, moving files and documents, delivering

letters and ensuring cleanliness of the UNRA offices and office furniture.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out photocopying and binding of

    documents;

  • Prepare and serve Tea and other beverages to

    staff;

  • Deliver letters and/ or parcels as required;

  • Move files and documents as directed;

  • Ensure cleanliness of offices, washrooms and

    outer areas and supervise the cleaners;

  • Actively participate in the filing of

    documents.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Administrative

    Assistant


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the UNRA Office Assistant

    job vacancy should hold an Advanced Level Certificate of Education.

  • At least two years’ experience in providing

    similar support services in a large organization.

  • High degree of integrity;

  • Excellent track record of outstanding

    performance;

  • Ability to work as part of a team;

  • Excellent oral and written communication

    skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal, particularly

    staff/management relation skills

  • Ability to deliver accurate results in a

    timely manner and in an environment

  • with multiple and challenging tasks.
